U.S. doesn't question outcomes of Armenia's presidential elections
U.S. doesn't question outcomes of Armenia's presidential elections," Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Matthew Bryza said when commenting on Edgar Vazquez's statement on "concerns over the count of votes."
"This does not mean that we question the outcomes of the elections. However, we are not ready to state that all problems have been already solved. This process will take a longer time, like it was in Georgia on January 5. We studied the statements issued by the OSCE and Javier Solana and share the assessments they presented," Mr Bryza said.
Javier Solana, High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, said that election of new President is a good opportunity to improve relations with neighbors and to resolve the Karabakh conflict. The European Union welcomes conduction of the election mostly in line with international standards.
