  Armenian Opposition National Congress formedAugust 1, 2008 - 23:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - From 5 to 7 thousand supporters of the Armenian opposition took the streets in Yerevan today to join a regular unauthorized rally at Matenadaran, the Depository of Ancient Manuscripts.The demonstrators demanded investigation into the March 1 events and release of arrested oppositionists. A declaration on formation of Armenian Opposition National Congress was also signed. Today's rally was preceded by an uninterrupted sit-in of opposition supporters in the center of Yerevan. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
