  ORGANIZATION OF ISLAMIC CONFERENCE CALLED UPON ARMENIAN PARTY TO WITHDRAW TROOPS FROM NAGORNO KARABAKHAugust 13, 2002 - 22:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) has called upon the Armenian party to withdraw troops from Nagorno Karabakh and to display proper "respect of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan." At the same time the OIC expressed disturbance concerning holding presidential elections in Nagorno Karabakh. The Conference also called upon the Azeri government to keep pursuing the policy directed at avoiding military confrontation with Armenia.  Top stories The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. Achieving stable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan remains a priority of the OSCE, said Ian Borg.
