GEORGIAN BORJOMI REGION POPULATION AGAINST BAKU-TBILISI-JEYHAN OIL PIPELINE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Statements of protest regarding the Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan oil pipeline construction are heard in the Georgian Borjomi region. As "A-info" agency reports, Georgians as well as Armenians participate in the protest action. Despite the fact that the sides engaged in project realization promised dollar adjustment for the land damage, the population of the region is alarmed with the ecological consequences of the project of the oil pipeline construction that should be constructed through their territories. Borjomi is considered the best resort place in Georgia and its population is against the "destruction" of their region for "an oil pipeline lacking in prospects".
