ITALY PRESIDING IN EUROPEAN UNION READY TO ASSIST ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - Being the country presiding in the European Union, Italy is ready to render possible assistance to Armenia. Italian ambassador to Armenia Marco Clemente stated today at the meeting with Armenian parliament head Arthur Baghdasarian. In the ambassador's words, visit of "troika" of EU leaders' planned July 9-10 testifies to it. The South Caucasus is an important region for Italy, Clemente emphasized, at the same time noting that by virtue of its political stability Armenia has great opportunities for attraction of financial investments and development. A group of Italian businessmen is supposed to visit Armenia late this year with the aim of acknowledging with the priorities of the bilateral cooperation.
