Mitq calls on AAC to protect Armenians and Armenian monuments in Georgia
Preservation of Armenian spiritual and cultural values from the Georgian expansion should become a national issue, says a statement issued by Mitq analytical center.
"Historical and architectural monuments in Georgia are appropriated and desecrated. We call on the Armenian spiritual elite to address the issue and increase the number of Armenian clergymen in Samtskhe-Javakheti-Tsalka," the statement says.
"We call on the Armenian Apostolic Church to protect Armenians of Javakheti," it says.
