Poland hails Armenia steps for reconciliation with Turkey

PanARMENIAN.Net - Currently in Warsaw on a formal visit, Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian met with President of Poland Lech Kaczynski to discuss bilateral relations and Caucasus security issues, the RA MFA press office told PanARMENIAN.Net



"Centuries-old friendship between Armenia and Poland form a good basis for mutually beneficial cooperation," President Kaczynski said.



For his part, Minister Nalbandian briefed on the current stage of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process.



In discussing the Turkish-Armenian relations, the Polish President hailed the steps Armenia takes for reconciliation between the two nations.



He also thanked Armenia for the assistance in evacuation of Polish citizens during the August war in South Ossetia.



In the framework of the visit, the Minister laid a wreath to the Unknown Soldier Monument in Warsaw.
