Photos: Karabakh nursery school damaged in Azeri shelling during war

PanARMENIAN.Net - Spanish journalist Pablo González has shared pictures of a nursery school in Martuni, Nagorno-Karabakh, which came under Azerbaijan's shelling during the six-week war in fall 2020.

González covered the war and is currently visiting Artsakh (Karabakh).

"A Martuni nursery and school. Echoes of the Karabakh war," the journalist captioned the photos on Twitter.

González said in a recent interview that on the one hand you can see the joy of all the people who have returned to Karabakh, but they are all mourning the dead amid uncertainty about the future on the other hand.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side has returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
