CDC: Vaccinated people at 11.3 times lower risk of dying from Covid

Fully vaccinated people are at a 6.1 times lower risk of testing positive for Covid-19 and 11.3 times lower risk of dying from the disease compared to unvaccinated people, according to fresh details published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC reminded that some people, who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, will still get sick because no vaccine is 100% effective—these are called breakthrough cases. However, Covid-19 vaccination reduces the risk of Covid-19 and its potentially severe complications.

Coronavirus infections and deaths continue to rise in Armenia, amid low vaccination rates in the country. To fight the spread of the virus, authorities have again made wearing masks in outdoor settings mandatory beginning from Monday, November 1.
