One more pregnant woman with Covid dies in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - One more pregnant woman, who was diagnosed with Covid-19, has died in Armenia, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said on Monday, November 8.

"More than 100 pregnant women are hospitalized, almost half of which has pneumonia," Avanesyan said, noting that the more aggressive nature and course of the Delta variant is manifested in pregnant women too.

According to the Health Minister, more people have started covering their faces. She said the most effective way to prevent infection is to get vaccinated, adding that 18,000-19,000 inoculations are administered across the country each day.

The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 810 to reach 321,243 on Monday. So far, 282,866 people have recovered, 6700 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 1337 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
