 Azerbaijan releases 10 Armenian PoWs in return for minefield maps December 6, 2021 - 11:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan has released 10 Armenian soldiers captured during a deadly attack on the province of Syunik on November 16. According to a report from Azerbaijan’s State Security Service, Armenia has handed over minefield maps of Nagorno-Karabakh in return. Mediated by Russia, the swap happened on Saturday, December 4. Azerbaijani forces violated Armenia’s border in several sections in the provinces of Syunik and Gegharkunik on May 12 and 13 and are still refusing to withdraw their troops from the area. On November 16, the Azerbaijani side launched a fresh offensive in the province of Syunik, during which Armenian soldiers were killed and taken captive.
