Armenia, EU talk cooperation, joint programs

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and the head of the EU delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin on Monday, June 13 discussed cooperation in Yerevan, a statement from the Armenian government reveals.

During the meeting, the sides weighed in on programs implemented under the EU Economic and Investment Plan, with Grigoryan stressing the existing agreement on the SME support program and the formal signing of it as soon as possible.

Both sides emphasized the construction of the North-South highway and expert work with European financial institutions. The Deputy Prime Minister also stressed the importance of the joint program with the COAF Foundation in Syunik province, expressing hope that the program will contribute to improving the quality of education in Syunik.

"At the end of the meeting, mutual readiness was emphasized to ensure the implementation of the programs implemented under the assistance package announced by the European Commission in July 2021," the government said in the statement.
