€3M KATAPULT Creative Accelerator Program launches in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Ministry of High-Tech Industry, Ministry of Economy, AGBU and the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia on the launch of the KATAPULT Creative Accelerator Program.

The €3 million campaign, which is an EU Funded project within the “Catalysing creative industries development in Armenia” program, is being implemented by AGBU Fund Armenia and Creative Armenia Cultural Foundation, the EU delegation to Armenia reports.

"Creativity needs a legal framework, reliable partners, solid networks, innovative actors, specific and alternative financing and a constant, collaborative and participatory dynamic. This is what this project is all about: creating an environment and the best conditions for creativity, a source of wealth and livelihood” mentioned the Head of Cooperation of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Frank Hess.

Through a 12-week incubation process in the Fall of 2022 — taking place digitally through a cutting-edge online platform — selected projects across all creative fields will be given an unprecedented opportunity to work with prominent business leaders and renowned cultural figures to develop a comprehensive package around their projects, including a business plan, marketing strategy, video pitch, and financing plan.

Once the package is ready, the artists will have the exclusive opportunity to present their projects for financial support, including grants provided by KATAPULT and possible investments by high-profile cultural investors.
