Baku says not yet ready to respond to Yerevan's peace proposal

PanARMENIAN.Net - Baku is not yet ready to give a full answer to the proposals for a peace treaty sent by Yerevan, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a press conference following talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Friday, December 23.

Bayramov's comments came after Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a Cabinet meeting on Thursday that Yerevan sent to Azerbaijan its proposals related to the further work of the committee on border delimitation and security issues months ago, but hasn’t received any answer to date.

"Yesterday I had the opportunity to look at (the proposals), but, frankly, I had only part of the working day, and, naturally, I did not have the opportunity to study the document in detail, discuss it with colleagues," Bayramov said in Moscow.

"We have a general idea of what we have been given. Therefore, it will probably be wrong to give a monosyllabic answer to this (whether Azerbaijan is pleased with the proposal or not - Ed.)."
