Sworn enemies intend to put an end to decades-old conflict

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sworn enemies, Armenia and Turkey, intend to put an end to decades-old conflict: Turkish MFA announced on Wednesday about an agreement and gradual normalization of ties with Armenia through the intermediary of Switzerland, Handelsblatt reported today.

"Possible normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations causes neighboring Azerbaijan's concerns. The reason lies in unsettled conflict with Armenia on NKR issue," publication author Gerd Heler reminded.

He believes that normalization of Armenian-Turkish ties is closely related to NKR issue. "Either gradual normalization of relations between Ankara and Yerevan will stimulate negotiations on NKR issue, or the conflict will block reconciliation between Armenia and Turkey," Gerd Heler stated in his article entitled "Armenia and Turkey to reconcile".
