Russian Deputy FM, Armenian envoy discuss situation in Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin discussed with Armenian Ambassador Vagharshak Harutyunyan the situation in the Lachin corridor and around Nagorno-Karabakh as a whole, the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.

Issues on the bilateral agenda were on the table too on Monday, June 26.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also confirmed the importance of strict compliance with the entire set of agreements reached between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2020-2022 on the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin was summoned to the Armenian Foreign Ministry on June 16 after an attempt by the Azerbaijani forces, accompanied by Russian peacekeepers, to raise an Azerbaijani flag over Armenian territory, which left one Armenian border guard injured. Following the incident, Azerbaijan completely blockaded Karabakh.
