Armenia HDR unveils report on Azerbaijan's shelling of Yeraskh![]() July 18, 2023 - 12:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia has published a report on the ongoing violations of human rights as a result of the shelling of the Azerbaijani armed forces of the village of Yeraskh, Ararat province. The report weighs in on violations of fundamental human rights recorded by the Defender as a result of the fact-finding work carried out in Yeraskh. The report analyzes cases of human rights violations as a result of shelling by the Azerbaijani armed forces in the direction of a settlement in June 2023, and also presents a set of recommendations for solving problems related to the protection of human rights. On June 13-14, 2023, Azerbaijani combat positions fired in the direction of the settlement of Yeraskh, the metallurgical plant in Yeraskh, which is being built with foreign investment, was subjected to especially intensive and targeted shelling. As a result of the shelling, two Indian citizens were injured and were taken to a medical center. The actions of the Azerbaijani armed forces violate the normal course of life, the rights to mental and physical integrity, property, education, work, entrepreneurship and a number of other fundamental rights of the civilian population.
