Pashinyan: Can’t turn a blind eye to situation Armenians of Karabakh face

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that Armenia cannot turn a blind eye to the situation that the Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) are currently facing.

“The 360 tons of vitally important foodstuff sent to Nagorno-Karabah is exclusively for humanitarian purposes,” Pashinyan tweeted on Thursday, July 27, one day after the country sent dozens of truck loaded with necessary items, medicine and food.

Nagorno-Karabakh has been under Azerbaijan's blockade since December 12, 2022. Baku tightened the blockade on June 15, 2023, banning emergency relief supplies that were carried out by Russian peacekeepers and the International Committee of the Red Cross through the sole road connecting Karabakh to Armenia and the outside world. The move aggravated the shortages of food, medicine and other essential items experienced by the region’s population.
