Moscow mulls electricity export through Azerbaijan to Armenia, then to Iran

PanARMENIAN.Net - Moscow is considering the possibility of supplying 300 MW of electricity through Azerbaijan to Armenia, and from there to Iran and other countries, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“Now we are simply considering the possibility of supplying electricity through the territory of Azerbaijan to Armenia, from it to Iran and possibly further to other countries. At the first stage, we agree with Tehran and Baku to use the existing infrastructure, without new construction,” he said.

According to him, all the participants of the project are interested in it.
