Political parties to start air campaign on May 4May 2, 2009 - 16:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Central Election Commission has today convened an extraordinary session for determining the procedures of allocating airtime to political parties participating in the elections of the Mayor and Aldermen's Council of Yerevan. The TV campaign of the contenders will be broadcast on the Armenian Public Television and the Public Radio. Following the procedures prescribed by Section 2, Article 20 and Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, Article 138.15 of RA Electoral Code, the session participants held a draw to determine the procedures of allocating airtime to parties. According to draw results, the campaign will start and finish with the Republican Party's air broadcasts. The air campaign will last from 4 till 29 May, 2009.
