Opposition set an ultimatum to Saakashvili

PanARMENIAN.Net - In 3 days, the opposition will return to the plan of blocking Georgia's central highways unless Mikhail Saakashvili agrees to negotiate, one of National Forum Party leaders, Irakli Melashvili said at the meeting in front of Tbilisi Parliament House.

Opposition's organization headquarters, aiming to achieve Saakashvili's retirement, suggests discussion of long-term elections of Governmental Leader, RIA Novosti reported.

Georgian opposition's protest rally wad launched on Apr. 9, 2009 in Tbilisi. On May 5 rally participants planned to block connecting roads. Still, the rally failed, as Georgian authorities announced about having countered an attempt at military coup. The opposition believes mutiny was organized by Sahakashvili to distract people's attention from Presidential policy.
