EU welcomes Armenia's proposal for ceasefire monitoring mechanism

PanARMENIAN.Net - The European Union has welcomed the proposal of Armenia to establish a bilateral mechanism to address ceasefire violations on the border with Azerbaijan to reduce tensions.

“The EU has for 15 years through [its mission in Georgia] helped organize similar meetings in Georgia and is ready to share its experiences”, said Toivo Klaar, EU's Special Representative for South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia.

Armenia has been proposing to introduce such a mechanism for quite some time now.
