France is involved in the restoration program of the Big Desert Tatev monastery, French ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies said in a post on X on Monday,July 29.

“Tatev Monastery is one of the jewels of Armenian cultural heritage and symbolizes the country's identity,” the envoy said.

The Big Desert of Tatev dates back to the 17th century. It is nestled in a gorge near the historic Tatev Monastery.
