Armenia denies Azerbaijan's ceasefire accusations![]() August 16, 2024 - 14:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The statement disseminated by the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan, alleging that on August 16th, at approximately 03:20 a.m., units of the Armenian Armed Forces fired upon Azerbaijani combat positions located in the western part of the border, does not correspond to reality, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports. The Ministry reminded that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has proposed to the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, through diplomatic channels, the establishment of a bilateral mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
