Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron met in Budapest on Thursday, November 7 and exchanged ideas on the process of normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.
According to a statement from Pashinyan’s office, the Armenian PM stressed Yerevan’s commitment to the peace agenda and steps to ensure regional security and stability.
The two also discussed issues related to Armenia-France cooperation.
Pashinyan and Macron emphasized the periodic nature of high-level meetings, which provide an opportunity to discuss both the bilateral agenda and other issues of mutual interest.
The parties weighed in on issues related to joint projects in the economy, infrastructure and other sectors. Issues related to Armenia-European Union cooperation were discussed, including the reforms implemented in the country with the support of the EU, the dialogue in the direction of visa liberalization.
