The limited development of alternative energy sources further intensifies this reliance on gas. Iranian authorities plan to establish a gas hub within their territory in collaboration with Russia, Qatar, and Turkmenistan. Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed on January 17 that the pipeline project between the two countries is underway. He noted that initial deliveries could reach up to 2 billion cubic meters of gas, with the potential to increase to 55 billion cubic meters annually. The president emphasized Russia’s commitment to the project’s realization. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
