A new regulation has been introduced by Eduard Hakobyan, the head of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), during a broadcast on Public Television, stating that personal transfers under AMD 300,000 are not subject to declaration.
He emphasized that this regulation applies exclusively to non-taxable transactions and does not concern salaries.
"A threshold of 300,000 drams has been established. This means transactions under this amount will not require declaration. We analyzed banking transactions, and, based on various estimates, the overwhelming majority fall within this limit," said the SRC head.
The SRC clarified that not all income included in declarations is subject to taxation.
"For instance, if you are a declarant required to submit an income declaration in 2025 and, apart from your salary, you also receive additional income, such as transfers made as gifts from family members or other individuals to your bank account or card, or funds received as gifts from abroad, filling out your declaration will not impose any tax liability," the statement explained.
All employed citizens of Armenia must declare their income for 2024 by May 1.
