Amnesty International, a human rights organization, submitted a report titled “No sign of hope for the human rights situation in Azerbaijan: systemic and severe violations must be firmly condemned,” to the Council of Europe addressing human rights violations in Azerbaijan.

According to 1Lurer.am, the organization expressed serious concerns about the state of human rights in Azerbaijan, particularly citing unjustified restrictions on freedom of expression, association, and peaceful assembly; reprisals against human rights defenders and journalists; widespread violations of the right to a fair trial; and the misuse of the criminal justice system for political purposes.
