Pashinyan: Armenia, Georgia to deepen cooperation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia and Georgia are committed to providing maximum support for the advancement of each other’s interests. He made these remarks during a joint press conference with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

The Georgian delegation, led by Kobakhidze, is on a working visit to Armenia, where he was welcomed by Pashinyan at the Armenian government headquarters. Following a session of the Armenian-Georgian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, the two leaders issued statements.

Pashinyan emphasized that the establishment of a strategic partnership between Armenia and Georgia last year has given a new impetus to bilateral interstate relations.

"I am confident that through the joint efforts of our governments, and without any limitations, we will continue to deepen mutually beneficial and multi-sectoral cooperation," he stated.

The intergovernmental commission thoroughly discussed current programs and new prospects for cooperation between Armenia and Georgia in various sectors, including economy, transport, communications, energy, tourism, agriculture, environment, healthcare, culture, education, and science.

Pashinyan underscored that Armenia and Georgia unequivocally respect each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty. He noted that the two nations treat each other's positions and priorities with due respect and care, aiming not only to avoid harm but also to provide maximum support in promoting mutual interests.

The Armenian Prime Minister highlighted economic cooperation and the strengthening of interconnectivity between the two countries as key components of their rich dialogue, including the implementation of necessary facilitation measures on both sides.
