Russia to deport illegal migrants starting February 5

PanARMENIAN.Net - State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin announced two legislative changes aimed at improving migration policy, which will take effect on February 5. He shared this information on his Telegram channel, TASS reports.

The first change introduces a mechanism for deporting migrants residing in the country illegally. The second establishes administrative liability for violating entry and exit regulations in Russia, as well as for providing prohibited services to migrants listed in the controlled persons’ register.

Additionally, Volodin noted that three more laws will come into force on February 5. These laws pertain to mentorship programs for children in difficult life situations, the development of creative industries and the legal definition of the term, and the transfer of confiscated property to the ownership of Russian regional authorities.

Furthermore, the State Duma chairman announced an increase in maternity capital. The payments will be indexed by 9.5%, raising the maximum payout to 912,000 rubles.
