The prosecution has confirmed this information, Lurer reported. The public prosecutor had initially requested a 6-year prison sentence for Harutyunyan. The prosecution stated that it would consider filing an appeal upon receiving the court's ruling. Harutyunyan was found guilty of negligence in service during the 44-day war, specifically on October 12, 2020, during the period of martial law. His failure to properly perform his duties resulted in significant losses: 20 servicemen of the D-20 artillery division of the Tsor military unit were killed, and one soldier remains missing to this day. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
