Yerevan to host Beer Days with support of EU countries

At the initiative of Armenia’s Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Economy, Beer Days will be held in Yerevan in cooperation with Czech Republic, Germany, and Belgium. This was announced by the head of the Tourism Committee, Lusine Gevorgyan, Armenpress reports.

She noted that during meetings with EU ambassadors, an agreement was reached to hold the event with Czechia, Germany, and Belgium.

"I would like to emphasize that this has no connection to the 'Yerevan Beer Days' festival. This is a separate event, which the ambassadors gladly supported. We also discussed it with the head of Yerevan’s Kentron administrative district, who also gave his approval," Gevorgyan stated.

The committee head also mentioned ongoing cooperation with France and Belgium, within which exchange visits and major wine-related events are planned in Armenia.

The Tourism Committee also intends to expand joint tourism programs with Georgia and Iran.

Regarding annual festivals in Armenia, Gevorgyan noted that 12 festivals were held last year—two in Yerevan and the rest in the regions.

"This year, we will continue in the same direction. We believe that both Armenian citizens and our guests should be encouraged to visit the regions. To boost regional tourism, we plan to conduct training sessions in all regions to improve hospitality and marketing services," she added.

In 2024, Armenia received 2,208,179 tourists, a 4.6% decrease compared to 2023, when the country welcomed 2,316,000 visitors.
