Armenian defense units join Joint Resolve 2025 in Germany

A delegation led by the head of the Ministry of Defense’s Military Medical Department, Colonel Gegham Pashikyan, visited the U.S. military base in Hohenfels, Germany, where the Joint Resolve 2025 exercise is taking place.

This year, in addition to the field hospital of the Defense Ministry’s military medical support department, a special battalion of the military police was included in the drills for the first time. Within the framework of the exercise, this unit is responsible for protecting critical infrastructure, detecting and neutralizing sabotage and reconnaissance groups, and carrying out other scenario-based operations.

The delegation members inspected the personnel’s deployment conditions and observed the ongoing exercises.

Deputy Chief of the Military Police, Colonel Artur Umrshatyan, toured the unit’s service locations to assess their operational performance.

During the final discussions, the exercise leadership and U.S. partners highly praised the preparedness of the Armenian defense units and their effective cooperation.
