U.S. sees Amulsar mine as key investment opportunity

PanARMENIAN.Net - The U.S. Embassy in Armenia has welcomed the decision to restart the Amulsar gold mine project.

"Great news! The U.S. Embassy welcomes the agreement between Lydian and Armenia to resume the large-scale Amulsar mine project, which will bring millions of dollars in investments, create jobs, and contribute to prosperity for both the United States and Armenia.

Armenia is open for U.S. business, and the U.S. Embassy is proud to support this initiative as we work together for a more prosperous future," the embassy stated in a Facebook post.

The Armenian government has decided to provide up to $150 million in budgetary guarantees to Armenian banks to facilitate loan financing for the operation of the Amulsar gold mine.
