44-day war report to be presented in 2025, no exact date set

PanARMENIAN.Net - The 44-day war investigative commission’s report will be presented during the 2025 plenary sessions of Armenia’s National Assembly, according to Andranik Kocharyan, head of the parliament’s Defense Committee.

However, the ruling party MP did not specify when the report would be discussed, to avoid speculation, as reported by RFE/RL.

"I won’t mention a date to prevent speculation, but the report will definitely be available during the 2025 parliamentary session," Kocharyan stated.

Last year, he announced that the commission’s report would be presented in a closed session due to the presence of classified information. At the time, it was also mentioned that MPs would receive the report in October 2024.

Kocharyan added that criminal cases would follow the report’s release.

"There will be thousands, yes, thousands of cases," the committee chair emphasized.

Commission member Vahagn Aleksanyan stated that key sections of the report that do not contain state secrets or security risks should be made public.
