MP: claims of foreign involvement in 2018 are absurd

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairman of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan dismissed as unfounded the claims that the 2018 Velvet Revolution was carried out with foreign involvement, Radar.am reports.

According to him, the debate on this issue does not hold public interest.

"If we had a different political system, a different type of parliamentary representation or forces, perhaps as members of the ruling faction, we would comment on these topics. But unfortunately—or fortunately—those political forces engaged in this debate must also be relevant actors for their discussion to attract public interest," Khandanyan stated.

He emphasized that the opposition factions Armenia and I Have Honor - along with their supporters, cannot even fill a briefing hall.
