Armenia, France discuss economic cooperation prospects

PanARMENIAN.Net - A delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan met with France’s Minister of Economy, Finance, Industrial, and Digital Sovereignty Eric Lombard during an official visit to France. The discussions focused on economic cooperation between Armenia and France.

The meeting addressed opportunities to strengthen Armenia-France economic ties, exploring new areas for trade and investment, as well as expanding business relations between private sector entities.

Khachatryan emphasized the successful partnerships already established with French enterprises and highlighted the importance of expanding their presence in Armenia to foster knowledge transfer and business development.

Discussions also covered new cooperation avenues, particularly France’s potential financial participation in the construction of the Bargushat tunnel as part of the North-South Road Corridor investment project. The involvement of leading French construction and engineering firms was also considered.

Lombard reaffirmed France’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with Armenia, assuring that the discussed projects would remain a priority for the French government, with necessary steps taken to ensure their implementation.

Both sides agreed on follow-up actions and the implementation of cooperation programs.
