Mirzoyan highlights importance of high-level visits to India

PanARMENIAN.Net - During a private meeting with India’s Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in New Delhi, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that Armenia aims to enhance its economic, trade, technological, and cultural relations with India.

Mirzoyan emphasized that the frequent high-level visits and cooperation on international platforms reflect an active political dialogue between the two countries.

“We must maintain the momentum of high-level visits between our countries. We seek to build stronger economic, trade, technological, and cultural ties with India so that both our nations benefit from these relations for decades and centuries to come,” Mirzoyan said.

He also noted the importance of regular political consultations between the foreign ministries and the intergovernmental commission’s meetings in strengthening bilateral relations.

During the meeting, Mirzoyan and Jaishankar discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional and global developments.

Mirzoyan highlighted that Armenia-India relations have significantly advanced in recent years, crediting Jaishankar’s personal efforts and contributions to this progress.

In his speech at the Indian Council of World Affairs, Mirzoyan addressed the "staged trials" against 23 arbitrarily detained Armenians in Azerbaijan, stressing that these proceedings violate human rights standards and due process.
