Mane Tandilyan, co-founder of the Country to Live party, who had been on a hunger strike since March 1 in support of Ruben Vardanyan—former State Minister of Artsakh imprisoned in Azerbaijan on fabricated charges—has announced that she is ending her protest.
She stated that in the past two days, discussions took place with members of Ruben Vardanyan’s family, who urged them to stop the hunger strike so that Vardanyan would not worry about them and could remain strong. His wife and sister made this request, according to "Pastinfo."
"We have promised them to stop the hunger strike," Tandilyan said, adding that they are now moving into an active phase of action.
Mane Tandilyan, Vardan Avagyan, and Artavazd Alaverdyan had begun their hunger strike in Liberty Square on March 1.
Former Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, currently imprisoned in Baku on fabricated charges, sent an audio message through his family, emphasizing that he has always acted according to his moral principles and has never betrayed them, even in the most difficult times.
"I was aware of what I was getting into, and I was prepared for even harsher conditions. I am not a victim, and I do not need pity because this was a conscious decision," he said.
