Beglaryan: those witnessing against Vardanyan have mental issues![]() March 13, 2025 - 19:08 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Artak Beglaryan, former Human Rights Defender and State Minister of Artsakh, stated in a conversation with journalists that the Armenians who testified against Ruben Vardanyan have mental health issues, with one also suffering from alcohol dependence. Beglaryan noted that these individuals are not capable of making independent decisions without external influence, reports Pastinfo. He added that it is highly probable that the Azerbaijani side either coerced or incentivized these individuals to provide such testimonies. "I am aware that one of them is an alcoholic. They also have issues with mental stability. All Artsakh residents who know these individuals are aware of this. Considering these circumstances, we can unequivocally say that they were under the influence of Azerbaijani services," Beglaryan stated. In his recent address, Ruben Vardanyan mentioned that he felt deep pity for the two Armenians who testified against him. "This recent court session was a vivid example of what would have happened if the people of Artsakh had stayed in their homes and the price they would have paid for it. During that session, two Armenians living in Stepanakert testified against me, including asserting various unbelievable things. Moreover, they have never even seen me in their lives; besides, they themselves were in a terrible state, yet they appeared in court, and I felt very sorry for them," he said. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. ![]() ![]() Partner news | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
