Zakar Demirchyan’s debut film selected for Annecy festival

PanARMENIAN.Net - Zakar Demirchyan’s debut animated film, Snake Soup, has been included in the Perspectives competition section of the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, as reported by the Armenian National Cinema Center.

The film portrays a soldier’s day before heading to the front, where his journey transforms into surreal visions. A bomb explosion blurs the line between imagination and past memories, creating a hallucinatory world.

The film is produced by Raffi Movsisyan, with music composed by Emil Abrahamyan. The artists behind the visuals are Daniel Grigoryan and Veronika Stepanyan, while Armine Harutyunyan served as the line producer.

Snake Soup was created with state funding from the Armenian National Cinema Center and the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.
