Georgia supports Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement

PanARMENIAN.Net - Georgia's Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili has expressed support for a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, aiming to strengthen regional stability. Speaking at the Raisina Dialogue 2025 conference in New Delhi, Botchorishvili emphasized Georgia's readiness to facilitate deeper relations between the two nations to bolster peace in the region.

The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it has accepted Azerbaijan's proposals on two previously unresolved articles, indicating that the peace agreement is ready for signing. Armenia has expressed its willingness to begin consultations regarding the timing and location of the signing ceremony. However, Baku has introduced new preconditions and stated that it is premature to discuss meeting dates.

The draft peace agreement comprises 17 articles, with 15 previously agreed upon. The unresolved articles pertain to mutual renunciation of international-level claims and the non-deployment of representatives from other countries along the Azerbaijan-Armenia border.
