No Armenians among Myanmar quake victims

No Armenian nationals are reported among the casualties of the recent powerful earthquake in Myanmar, according to Armenia’s Foreign Ministry,

"There is currently no information indicating that Armenian citizens are among the victims of the Myanmar earthquake," Sputnik Armenia reported, citing the MFA.

The death toll from the devastating earthquake in Myanmar has climbed to 1,002, while 2,376 people have sustained varying degrees of injuries. Many are still considered missing.

Rescue operations are ongoing, but local resources remain insufficient to clear the debris completely.

On March 28, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 struck Myanmar, followed by a 6.4 aftershock. The tremors were also felt in neighboring Thailand, China, Bangladesh, India, and Laos. Videos showing the collapse of a high-rise building in Bangkok have widely circulated online.
