Civil Contract MP steps down, replacement named![]() April 1, 2025 - 16:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - After Vilen Gabrielyan, a member of the Civil Contract parliamentary faction, resigned his seat in the National Assembly, Arshak Ordukhanyan is expected to take his place according to the party list, reports Aysor.am . Ordukhanyan was listed 100th on the Civil Contract party’s electoral list during the snap parliamentary elections held in 2021. He is currently serving as the acting director of the closed joint-stock company Zinar. Gabrielyan had announced his decision to resign. The National Assembly staff has received his official resignation letter. On March 30, during the municipal elections in Gyumri, an incident occurred involving journalists and Civil Contract MP Vilen Gabrielyan. When asked about the possible defeat of Sarik Minasyan, Gabrielyan replied that he would be glad. He also remarked, “Anyway, power is going to change in 2026, so why shouldn’t I resign now?” ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
