Gyumri opposition stands firm, Mkhitaryan says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ruben Mkhitaryan, mayoral candidate in Gyumri from the My Powerful Community party, responded via Facebook to a statement by Martun Grigoryan, leader of the Our City alliance, regarding providing votes to candidate Vardan Ghukasyan. Mkhitaryan stated that the opposition in Gyumri "did not allow anyone to muddy the waters."

He emphasized that the Civil Contract party received "the response it deserved" in both Gyumri and Parakar.

"Congratulations to us all. In Gyumri and Parakar, the Civil Contract received the answer it truly deserved.

In Gyumri, the opposition did not allow anyone to muddy the waters.

I thank the other three opposition candidates. The most important thing is that we showed we can act for a greater cause. Congratulations, dear residents of Gyumri. Greater victories lie ahead," he wrote.

Martun Grigoryan, leader of the Our City alliance, previously announced that the alliance would provide the necessary votes for Vardan Ghukasyan—who is supported by two other opposition forces—without demanding any positions, expectations, or agreements.
