Georgian opposition congratulated Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - During the protest organized near Tbilisi Mayor's Office, radical opposition congratulated Armenian and Azeri peoples on Republic Day.

"We attach much importance to relationship with neighbors, and don't want to repeat the mistake President Sahakashvili who nearly caused conflict between those states," David Berdzenishvili, one of Georgian opposition leaders, said.

Accusing the President, the opposition leader added, "In one of his speeches, Saakashvili said that Georgia and Azerbaijan lived in confederation. That aroused strong protest, and was elucidated by Azerbaijani media. The President's statement on crisis impact upon Armenian economy also found relevant response by Armenia."

Georgian opposition will not conduct such policy in relation to neighbors in case in comes to power, Azerbaijan's Trend news agency quotes Berdzenishvili as saying.
