Volodya Grigoryan of the Unity Alliance will become the new head of the Parakar community after his political bloc secured over half the seats in the newly elected local council. This makes him the legally recognized community leader.
The council members elected in Parakar have received their mandates, and Grigoryan is set to take office on April 19, according to Factor.am .
According to the Central Electoral Commission, the lead candidates from all parties that passed the electoral threshold have claimed their mandates. These include Ludvig Gyulnazaryan (Civil Contract), Volodya Grigoryan (Unity Alliance), and Davit Minasyan (National Progress).
The final seat distribution in the Parakar council is as follows: Civil Contract – 7 seats, Unity Alliance – 12 seats, and National Progress – 2 seats.
The Central Electoral Commission also invalidated the candidacies of Taron Ghaloghlyan and Hovhannes Mkhitaryan from the Unity Alliance list and Sveta Avagyan from the Civil Contract list.
