Iranian opposition continues protestsJune 20, 2009 - 15:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Even though Iranian opposition leader Mir-Hossein Mousavi yesterday asked his proponents to go home, streets have been full of thousands of people since morning.Most of demonstrators are young people and intellectuals. Today's protest is going to attract a big crowd, radio "Liberty" reports. "We will not stop battle just for nothing. We want to reinstate justice," one of protesters said. As reported by Amnesty International human rights organization, protest repression has left 10 people dead. The country's supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei had previously denied opposition's claims on elections results being falsified. He strongly demanded that protest actions be discontinued, otherwise not ruling out possibility of authorities' using force. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
