ARMENIA'S ENROLLMENT AS NATO PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY ASSOCIATED MEMBER TO BE DISCUSSED AT THE TURN OF MAY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will get the status of the observer in NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which will let it participate in the Assembly sessions. NATO Parliamentary Assembly chairman Rafael Estrella, who is in Yerevan at present, stated it in the course of the meeting with National Assembly Speaker Armen Khachatrian. In his words, enrollment of Armenia as associated member of the Parliamentary Assembly will become the next step. The question of Armenia's associated membership will be discussed at the permanent commission conference at the next NATO PA session to be held in Sofia May 24-28, Estrella reported.
