HSBC named global bank of the year by Euromoney

PanARMENIAN.Net - In Euromoney's Awards for Excellence 2009, HSBC has won Euromoney's premier award as Best Global Bank, press office of the HSBC Armenia reports. In a year that has seen financial turmoil worldwide HSBC has remained steadfast.



Euromoney said: "The crisis showed up which banks the markets thought were safest - and HSBC came out firmly on top." Euromoney added that 'HSBC has adopted a clear policy of focusing expansion on emerging markets, and on the international connectivity of those markets with the developed world. It is a truly global bank."



HSBC Awards for Excellence 2009 at the Euromoney are Best Global Bank, Best Global Debt House, Best Global Transaction Banking House.



Euromoney awards highlights companies that provide high-quality products and services to commercial and investment banking sector. The main ranking criteria are achievements in the field of operations, service quality, innovation and development indicators.
